Tess Kelly’s Creative Photography Workshop and exhibition opening took place the 23rd of February. We were very happy with her thorough explanations and the beautiful documentation she prepared. Many photographers come to Studio Kura, but it is very interesting how everyone’s technique is different.
Tess’s minimalistic style matches the traditional Japanese house perfectly.
After that, we all went out to take pictures. Everyone took great pictures.
And then, the opening party started.
We really appreciated Mr. Egami’s translation of the poetic text Tess wrote for the opening.
We were happy to meet Indonesian art authority Antariksa, currently in residence at Fukuoka Asian Art Museum! Fukuoka art authority Miyamoto was here too, and so the night became a discussion of the arts scenes at Melbourne, Yogyakarta, Hong Kong, Fukuoka and Itoshima.
