Announcing Kat Teede’s Exhibition “ENVELOPED”

We are pleased to announce an exhibition ENVELOPED by Kat Teede, as a result of her activity during her stay at Studio Kura on March 25 (Sat) & 26 (Sun).

Kat Teede is a Melbourne, Australia based multidisciplinary artist working across drawing, collage, photography, photo-painting, text and installation. Kat is currently completing a Masters of Fine Art (MFA), RMIT, Melbourne.
Kat’s practice is informed by the physical and psychological spaces that we inhabit and embed ourselves.

Here are some words from the artist herself.

ENVELOPED has been created in response to my overwhelming reactions to Itoshima – to the weather; the textures of the built environment; and the surrounding natural landscape. Itoshima enveloped me completely and these exhibition works reference this psychological state.
