Meri Nikula (1977, Finland) Residency: October 2009, July 2013
Meri Nikula is a performing artist who combines music, dance and the visual arts. She values highly the interaction between the performer and the audience and her installations feature musical composition, playing instruments, performance and voice.
She stayed for a month at Studio Kura in October, 2009. During her residency she performed at Hotel Il Palazzo and held her workshop Voicing Your Body at Studio Kura.
In 2013, she stayed at Studio Kura again for three days and held her workshop Voicing Your Body again.
