Novemto Komo (Indonesia) Residence: October, 2016
Novemto Komo is a self-taught artist/ illustrator from Indonesia. Trained as a software engineering and multimedia designer.
He awarded a runner-up at Secret Art Prize London in 2014.
The artworks were his way to understand the confusions in life the world that hopefully can bring smile to people face and heart.
At this residency in Japan, he is hoping to understand and get inspiration from the harmony and aesthetics of Japanese art and craft by living close to nature, where Studio Kura is, a small town/village that surrounded by rice fields.
