Bissan Rafe’s exhibition “Water Waves Fairytales” was great! She already left, but she was very happy that she got to meet a lot of people. She even said it had been her best residence yet! Thank you, Bissan.
Most of the pictures she painted here had the sea as their theme.
Outstanding quantity and quality of pictures for just a month of work! Of course, being able to forget your everyday life and concentrate on your art work is the best part of a residence program.
At the opening party we improvised some nagashi-somen, where you get to catch noodles sliding through a bamboo pole using chopsticks. Children were very happy about this. I had already cut a lot of bamboo to make the stairs, so it wasn’t easy to find the bamboo for nagashi-somen.
After that, super handsome man Jolan played his guitalele and amazed everyone with his beautiful voice.
And in the end we all had some coffee. Thank you everyone!
