Amjad Akash has participated in more than 75 national and international art exhibitions. In the last 15 years, he has been engaged with creative writing and freelance journalism. At the moment, he is devotedly engaged with an online art magazine called “Chitram”. His work explores the contemporary image of human psychology’s vibrant world.

Most of his works are influenced by his engagement with subjects such as civil human rights. He is also influenced by his surroundings, the social crisis and its reflection on the society.

Here are some words from the artist himself.

Art for freedom of thoughts
People nowadays have kept attacking each other in the name of philosophy, religion, and sociality and to extend their supremacy. Around the world religious extremism is one of main berries to practicing free thought.
Bangladesh is also little bit threaten by religious fundamentalists. For anti-fundamental writing some people murdered by machete. Religious fundamentalist/extremist killed them. Most of people perform as robotic behaviour, on the other hand some people struggle for freedom of thought. My art-works express their thinking about the people who are struggling.
