We are pleased to announce an exhibition And all will turn to silver glass. by Rachel King, as a result of her activity during her stay at Studio Kura on April 22 (Sat) & 23 (Sun).
LACOURT was born in France, in the Garonne valley.
Circles, the Circle, many Circles invade her, encircle her, overtaking the surface of the paper.
Life, Death, Unity, the Soul of the World are omnipresent in her Drawings.
She studied nude drawing and painting at the Beaux Arts in Paris, mastering form and geometry in space. Lines short-circuit her circles.
Here are some words from the artist herself.
Vibration, just Vibrations, Sensation/Sensations (“Sensation is an Abstract” Emmanuel Kant German Philosopher) make the Invisible, Visible.
To translate it on the paper : just a Circle, a Circle at its birth comes suddenly. Before to be a Circle, the Vibration is just a print of a minuscule, a infinitely point of print done with a feather, with a sea urchins, with… I am just doing it, I must doing them and I am doing it with a fascinating obsession, going in what I expresse to catch the connection between myself and the invisible connection, it’s like a fantastic dance, following the print with a incredible speed, to be just what I am doing a part of the Sun, a part of Amaterasu omi kami…
