Announcing Nobushige Kono’s Exhibition “in a warehouse”

We are pleased to announce an exhibition in a warehouse by Nobushige Kono on February 24 (Saturday) & 25 (Sun), as a result of his activity during his stay at Studio Kura.

Nobushige Kono was born in Hiroshima, Japan, and mainly works in the field of installation art. His projects have been exhibited internationally. Kono often (re-)structurizes spaces with recycled materials, in order to seek alternative ways of approaching various topics.

Here are some words from the artist himself.

The process of my ongoing project, which deals with some aspects of the Russo-Japanese War, resembles the act of digging for something in an old warehouse. This time I would like to (re-)organize some materials, which I have found on the way, in an actual warehouse (= 蔵/kura), in a form of installation, attempting to formalize the process of the project and share it with visitors. You are welcome to come over, and what you need to do is step into the warehouse.
