We are pleased to announce an exhibition Nature’s Wealth by Chris Fitzpatrick on December 21(Sat.) – 22(Sun.), as a result of her activity during her stay at Studio Kura.
Chris Fitzpatrick completed her Fine Arts degree in Printmaking in 2008 at the Victoria College of the Arts in Melbourne, Australia. Since 2010 she has been crisscrossing the world seeking adventures and meeting people of other cultures to explore their differences and study their art and cultures.
Chris experiments with nature’s gifts to create beautiful and interesting objects.
At Studio Kura she has worked with kelp from Sapporo to create nests and jewellery.
Sometimes her objects turn into creatures which she turns into 2d works.

* We will hold an artist talk on 22nd (Sun.), starting at 15:00.
* The exhibitions by other current residence artists will be held at the same exhibition periods.
