Announcing Ng Shu Jie Elden’s exhibition “ゆりの花言葉”

We are pleased to announce an exhibition “ゆりの花言葉 by Ng Shu Jie Elden on February 22(Sat.) & 23(Sun.), as a result of his activity during his stay at Studio Kura.

Ng Shu Jie Elden is a digital artist from Singapore. He completed his diploma in digital animation and graduated from Singapore polytechnic in 2016. He then further his studies in 2018 and graduated from 3dsense media school recently in November 2019. Since young, Elden loves to play trading card games and always dream of being able to create wonderful pieces of artworks like those on the cards. 

The smooth petals of the white lilies depicts the everlasting purity of the flower
The vibrant gradient of the orange lilies radiates with splendor 
Both of these beautiful flowers are similar in name
but each emanates a totally different feeling when in sight.

In this exhibition, the artist uses the hanakotoba meanings of the flowers to create contrasting character illustrations 
to show the difference of the similiar flowers

* We will hold an artist talk on 22nd (Sat.), starting at 15:00.
