Studio Kuraでは、エストニア出身のアーティストBritta Bennoによる滞在制作発表展 ”Of Shells, Strokes and Stains”を開催します！Brittaが1ヶ月の滞在期間中に制作した作品を展示します。入場料は無料です。
開催日時は7月27日（土）と28日（日）の11:00から17:00まで（27日（土）14:30よりアーティストトークを行います）。ぜひこの機会にお越しください。
以下アーティストからのメッセージです。
展示は、抽象的で有機的な形の探求についてです。また、簡素さと少なさ、つまり、少しだけ行うことについても取り上げています。私はビーチで貝殻を集め、その不規則な形を主にインクで描きました。地元の博物館や自然で見られる素材をもとに、リサイクルショップで見つけた布を使ってインスタレーションを作成しました。日本での時間は、まるで素早い筆の一刷けのようにあっという間に過ぎ去りました。
Studio Kura is pleased to announce an exhibition of works by Estonia-born artist Britta Benno titled “Of Shells, Strokes and Stains.” The exhibition will showcase the pieces created by Britta during her one-month residency. Admission is free.
The exhibition will be held on Saturday, July 27th, and Sunday, July 28th, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. An artist talk will take place on Saturday, July 27th, at 2:30 PM. We warmly invite you to join us for this special event.
The exhibition is about the search for an abstract, organic form. Also about ease and simplicity, doing less. I collected shells from the beach and drew their irregular shapes mainly with ink. Fabrics found in a thrift shop were used to create an installation based on materials seen in local museums and nature. The time in Japan has been fleeting like a quick brush stroke.
