Marsha McDonald（マーシャ・マクドナルド）は、アメリカ出身のアーティスト兼作家で、現在ポルトガルに在住しています。
今回の滞在中、彼女はさまざまな視覚メディアや執筆活動に取り組んでいます。その中には、土地に応じて制作しリサイクルする「水の痕跡」と呼ばれる絵画など、サイトスペシフィックな作品も含まれています。また、ドローイングや写真撮影、短編ビデオの素材収集も行っています。
さらに、スタジオクーラでの時間を活用し、新しい物語やテキスト/イメージ作品のシリーズの制作を進めています。
彼女は10年前にもスタジオクラに滞在しており、再び戻ってくることができたことを大変喜んでいます。

Marsha McDonald is an American artist and writer living in Portugal.
During her residency, she’s using a variety of visual media and writing. Some of the work undertaken is site-specific – a “water remnant” painting she makes and recycles in response to place, for example. She is also drawing, photographing, and collecting source materials for short videos.
In addition, she is using her time at Kura to continue developing a series of new stories and text/image pieces.
10 years ago, she stayed at Studio Kura. She’s delighted to be back.
