Caitlin Bowe（ケイトリン・ボウ）は、南オーストラリア州アデレード（カウナ国）を拠点とする新進気鋭のアーティストです。彫刻の分野で活動し、鋳造やテキスタイル技法を用いて、祖先の神話、ゴシック・ヴィクトリアン様式、葬送美術といったテーマを探求しています。彼女の作品は、アイルランドやイギリスの神話を通じて自身の経験を語り直し、それらの文化的な物語とつながりを築くことを目的としています。
2017年にアデレード・セントラル・スクール・オブ・アートを最優等（First Class Honours）で卒業した後、継続的に作品を発表し、CARCLEWフェローシップを含む多くの助成金や賞を受賞しています。また、これまでにStudio Kura（日本）、スコティッシュ・スカルプチャー・ワークショップ、アデレード・フェスティバル・センターのチルドレンズ・アート・スペース・レジデンシーなどのアーティスト・イン・レジデンスに参加しています。
Caitlin Bowe is an early career artist based in Kaurna Country, Adelaide, South Australia. Working in the field of sculpture, Bowe utilises casting and textile techniques to explore themes of ancestral mythology, the gothic Victorian, and funerary arts. Bowe’s works look to retell lived experiences through Irish and English mythologies, forming connections to these larger cultural narratives.
Graduating from Adelaide Central School of Art with First Class Honours in 2017, Caitlin has continued to exhibit regularly and has received a number of grants and awards including a CARCLEW Fellowship. Bowe has also undertaken residencies including Studio Kura (Japan), Scottish Sculpture Workshop, and the Adelaide Festival Centre’s Children’s Art Space Residency.
