MoJoは南アフリカ出身のアーティストで、美しいヨハネスブルグの街で生活しながら創作活動を行っています。アクリル、木炭、インク、油彩からミクストメディアまで、さまざまな素材を使い、「無限のかなたへ！」という思いで作品を生み出しています。彼女の日常に登場する多様な人々は、希望や喜び、そして輝きをもたらし、それが作品へ大きな影響を与えています。
また、あらゆる動物への情熱を持ち、人と動物の関係性は彼女の作品の重要なテーマとなっています。3か月間のレジデンス中には、多くの人々やそのペットに出会い、このつながりを強調したいと考えています。
そして、この「人間と生きもののつながり」は、最終的に制作するアート作品『The Red Thread』に凝縮されています。これは絶滅危惧種をフィーチャーした全長4メートルの物語で、糸島のビーチで幕を閉じる予定です。
MoJo is a a South African artist living and creating in the beautiful city of Johannesburg. She enjoys working with different mediums, from acrylics, charcoal, inks, oils to mixed media … ‘to infinity and beyond!’ Her work is influenced by the diversity of people she meets in everyday life that capture hope, joy and shine. She also has a passion for animals of all sorts. The relationship between man and animal is deeply rooted in her work. In her 3 month long residency, she hopes to meet people and their pets and highlight this connection. This human/creature connection is bound up in her final art piece – ‘The Red Thread’ , a four meter long story that spotlights endangered animals and concludes on the beach of Itoshima.
