ソフィアは、オランダから来たイラストレーターです。彼女の作品は、人間が感じる恥ずかしさ、気まずさ、孤独、幸福感など、誰もが抱える感情をユーモラスに表現しています。
スタジオクラ滞在中は、まるで視覚的な人類学者や生物学者になったような気持ちで、鳥や出会った日本の人々を近くから、または少し離れたところから観察したいと考えています。その観察をもとに、感情豊かなドローイング作品を制作します。
Sophia is an illustrator from the Netherlands.
She likes to observe both people and animals.
She is especially interested in the quirks of human beings (and animals) because we all experience feelings of shame, awkwardness, loneliness, and happiness.
At Studio Kura, she would like to observe birds and the Japanese people she meets, either up close or from a distance. Like a pretend visual anthropologist/biologist, she will observe them and turn them into drawings.
