ビオレタ・アギロ・ロドリゲスは、都市風景を専門とする独学のイラストレーターです。彼女はバルセロナ出身で、過去5年間はプラハを拠点に活動しています。
長い間絵を描くことから離れていましたが、海外に移住し、旅をする中で再びアートと向き合うようになりました。特に、プラハやブダペストに住んだ経験や、シベリア鉄道でのロシア横断の旅から大きなインスピレーションを得ています。
美術学校での正式な教育は受けていませんが、独学で技術を磨き、「エスクエラ・ミヌスクラ」のイラスト講座を受講することで、彼女ならではのナイーブでカラフルなスタイルを確立しました。
彼女の作品は、村や建築物、日常の風景に焦点を当てており、建築の魅力を描き出すことを大切にしています。
これまでに複数の展示会に参加しており、プラハで2回の個展を開催したほか、東京のJinny Street Galleryでのグループ展では、相撲をテーマにしたイラストを発表しました。
また、個人プロジェクトに加え、プラハ3区のグッズデザインや、マヨルカ島のサ・ポブラ村の祭りのポスターデザインなども手がけています。
現在は日本を旅しながら、旅をテーマにした作品やイラスト入りのヴィネットを制作し、ポートフォリオを充実させています。
Violeta Aguiló Rodríguez is a self-taught illustrator specializing in urban landscapes. She is originally from Barcelona and has been based in Prague for the last five years.
After a long break from drawing she reconnected with art after moving abroad and during her travels, especially drawing inspiration from Eastern European cities, particularly after living in Prague and Budapest and during her journey through Russia on the Trans-Siberian Railway.
Without formal art school training, she has developed her naïve and colorful style through self-practice and some illustration courses that she did with Escuela Minúscula.
Her work focuses on villages, buildings, and everyday life, capturing the charm of architecture.
Violeta has participated in several exhibitions, including two solo exhibitions in Prague and a group exhibition in Tokyo, where she presented her sumo-themed illustrations at the Jinny Street Gallery.
In addition to personal projects, she has created merchandising for Prague 3 and designed a poster for a local village festivity in Sa Pobla, Mallorca.
Currently, she is in Japan expanding her portfolio with travel-inspired artwork and some illustrated vignettes.
