Bob Corporaal（ボブ・コーポラール）は、オランダ出身のデザイナー／クリエイティブコーダー／ビジュアルアーティストです。コードとアルゴリズムを通じて「秩序」と「混沌」のあいだを探り、”late_night_noodles” の名で複雑さの中に潜むパターンを可視化するジェネラティブアートを制作しています。科学とデザインのバックグラウンドを生かし、世界を形づくる隠れたつながりを明らかにする――その手法を、いま環境テーマにも応用しています。
Studio Kuraでのレジデンス期間中は、共同プロジェクト “connectingtides” に取り組みます。Janet Otter（”studiotinypieces”）と共に浜辺を訪れ、打ち上げられたゴミを収集。その素材を撮影し、漂着物・データ・現地での印象を組み合わせたジェネラティブ作品を制作します。このコラボレーションは、私たちと海との複雑な関係性――そして海洋汚染という課題――を、手触りのある形で感じ取ってもらうことを目指しています。
Bob Corporaal is a designer, creative coder, and visual artist from the Netherlands who explores the interplay between order and chaos through code and algorithms. As “late_night_noodles”, he creates generative artworks that uncover patterns in complexity, bringing his background in science and design to reveal the hidden connections that shape our world. An approach he’s now applying to environmental themes.
During his Studio Kura residency, he’s working on the collaborative “connectingtides” project. Together with Janet Otter (“studiotinypieces”), he visits beaches to collect trash washed ashore. For his contribution, he photographs the collected materials and creates generative art pieces that combine the washed-up debris, data, and impressions. The collaboration aims to make tangible the complexity of our global relationship with the ocean and marine pollution challenges.
