カトリン・アルグレンは、学術と芸術の両分野を横断しながら、言語に潜むイデオロギー的・倫理的・身体的・美的な共鳴をたどる活動を行っています。ストックホルム、マドリード、パリでのプロジェクトを通じて、移動や多言語的創造性によって形づくられる生の経験の物語を探求しています。彼女の実践は、ドローイング、写真、演劇、詩作などのアートベースの手法を用いて展開されます。
初期のプロジェクトでは、都市や自然の風景に見られる人間の痕跡やテキストなど、記号的な風景（セミオティック・ランドスケープ）を通して作品が展開されました。スタジオクラでは、これらの風景を写真を通して引き続き記録しつつ、同時に古着のリネンに版を刷り、リサイクル糸で刺繍を施した水彩作品などを制作しています。これらの作品を通して、彼女は起源や断片化した夢に深く分け入り、重層的な解釈を可視化しようとしています。
Katrin Ahlgren works across academic and artistic fields, tracing the ideological, ethical, embodied and aesthetic resonances of language. Through projects in Stockholm, Madrid and Paris, she explores narratives of lived experiences shaped by displacement and multilingual creativity. Her practice employs arts-based methods, including drawing, photography, drama and poetics.
An earlier project unfolded through semiotic landscapes – texts and traces of human presence encountered across urban and natural terrains. At Studio Kura, she continues to document these landscapes through photography. At the same time, her work turns to prints on thrifted linen, watercolours and embroidery made with recycled threads, as a way to delve into origins and disjointed dreams, and to visualise layered interpretation.
