こんにちは。私はカリフォルニア州サンディエゴ出身のイラストレーター兼デザイナー、Bethany Ng（ベサニー・ン）です。鮮やかで楽しく、喜びにあふれた2Dイラスト作品を制作することで知られています。擬人化された動物や風景・シーン、自然、そして日常の身の回りのものを描くのが好きです。散歩や旅行、写真撮影が好きで、見過ごされがちな何気ないものの中にある美しさを観察し、見つけることを大切にしています。
スタジオクラでの滞在では、ドローイングやイラストレーションへの愛情と、木を使ったものづくりへの興味を組み合わせたいと考えています。現在は、小さなサイズのペイントされた木製彫刻や、小作品のペインティングシリーズの制作に取り組んでいます。また、より触覚的で動きのある作品（キネティックアート）にも挑戦する時間を持ちたいと思っています。
Hello. My name is Bethany Ng and I am an illustrator and designer from San Diego, California. I am known for creating 2-d illustration work that is vibrant, joyful, and fun. Some of my favorite things to draw are personified animals, settings and scenes, nature, and every day objects. I love to walk, travel, take photographs and observe and find beauty in normal things that might be overlooked.
For my time at Studio Kura I am looking to combine my love of drawing and illustration with my love of building things out of wood. I am currently working on making some small-scale, painted, wooden sculptures and a series of small paintings. I also hope to have time to explore some more tactile and kinetic art.
