ニコラ・ヴェルディエ（Nicolas Verdier）は、フランス・パリを拠点に活動するアニメーション映像作家です。
現在、プリンターから生まれるテクスチャと手描きアニメーションを組み合わせた技法を探求しながら、約10分間のメランコリックなSF短編映画を制作しています。
作品では、地球の人気のない都市を訪れた愛らしいエイリアンの物語を通して、「彷徨うこと」「巨大建築」「言葉を介さないコミュニケーション」「利他性」といったテーマを描いています。
これらのテーマは、緻密にシナリオを構築するのではなく、直感に従って制作を進めるというプロジェクトの姿勢の中から、自然と結びついて生まれてきたものです。

Actually exploring a technique based on texture from printers and hand drawn animation, he is working on a 10 minute short film of melancholic sciences-fiction.
The movie is focused on perambulation, monumental architecture, non-verbal communication and altruism through the story of a cute alien visiting a quite empty city from Earth. Those topics came together spontaneously since the whole project must follow instinct rather than meticulous construction of a scenario.
