Daisuke Kiyomiya (USA) Residency: May, 2014
Daisuke Kiyomiya is a sculptor based on New York City. He has always felt drawn to organic materials such as stone, wood and clay, while living in a big city with only a little nature.
After studying architecture and interior design at the Tokyo Technical College, he took up on sculpture at the National Academy of Design school of Fine Arts in New York City, and then printmaking at the Art Students League of New York. His work has been shown in both the United States and Japan.
