Jordana Infeld (Australia) Residence: February 2019
Jordana Infeld’s work is multidisciplinary, spanning over art, design and writing. She recently completed her Honours degree in literary studies at Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia, where she is based. She has also studied at Kawashima Textile School in Kyoto, Japan. She is interested in the material connections between text and textile and how these two forms can explore a relationship between materiality and time.
During her residency at Studio Kura, Jordi plans to explore how time can become tactile (and visible) through weaving. She hopes to further expand her weaving practice through experiments with transparent weaving and double cloth.
