Laurence Rimes (Australia) Residence: September 2017
Laurence has completed 5 years training in sculpture and printmaking at the Canberra School of Art (ANU) Australia. Initially concentrating on sculpture his interests now focus on drawing using charcoal, pastel and acetate sheet for printing.
His practice uses subjects that are sculptural within a landscape, such as stone quarries, man made structures and people going about their daily work.
During his residency the artist aims through drawing from life to explore the agricultural and fishing industries within close proximity to Studio Kura.
