Santiago Zarzosa (United States/ Spain) Residence: November 2019
Santiago Zarzosa is an artist specialized in Oil Painting based in Minneapolis. He also works with copper plates and linoleum based press printmaking as well as drawing. He has a Bachelor in Marketing/Advertising and his art career has been fed with classes from private ateliers and co-ops drawing sessions in Western Europe were he grew up and continuously in the USA. He also has extensive Museum, Galeries and art book learning exposure from the best museums worldwide. Santiago Zarzosa has exhibited in the USA and Europe where he has sold many paintings as well as develop a strong commission based clientele.
He is interested in applying and learning new art Japanese techniques like Ukiyo-e or wood block print and Suiboku-ga or ink print while using the local legends of Itoshima/fukuoka area where Studio Kura is based to be inspired.
