Kitty Harris is an illustrator from London. She received a distinction in her MA in Illustration from the University of the Arts London in 2019 and has been living in Tokyo since January 2020.
She combines digital drawing with traditional materials such as gouache and coloured pencils to create her work. Her illustrations are primarily aimed at children, often exploring the real and imagined relationship between children and animals to create gentle and cosy scenes.
During her time at Studio Kura Kitty would like to draw inspiration from local folktales and Japanese myths, and develop illustrations in response. She plans to spend her time playing with analogue materials to see what new techniques she will discover.
