Oscar Nimmo is an artist currently based in Sydney, Australia. His practice spans across drawing, animation, ceramics and most recently painting. After studying architecture, Oscar moved into animation where he completed his degree. Since graduating, his graphic style has been used in creative projects for New York Times, MTV and visual identities for some of Australia’s biggest festivals.
Recently, Oscar has moved towards more physical media with a focus on drawings and paintings. This direction is an evolution of his design work and aims to expand the scope of his world and themes. With a practice that is always driven by narrative, Oscar loves to tell simple but engaging stories. His playful characters often find themselves in difficult, surreal situations as they strive to better themselves and achieve their goals.
Oscar will be staying here in Studio Kura for 2months.
