Hannah Wald is an emerging artist working primarily in drawing and painting. She received a bachelors in art from Brigham Young University in 2025 and works out of the Salt Lake City area. Her current artworks are exercises in patience and tenacity. She begins each piece with a small circle, and by repeating and expanding upon this one simple shape, gives her work texture and substance. Each circle\u2019s placement influences the next one\u2019s, creating a map of seemingly insignificant choices that ultimately define the work as a whole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During her time at Studio Kura, Hannah plans to continue making progress on this body of work while taking in the peaceful scenery and everyday life of Itoshima, likewise noticing the small details that make up the whole of the area.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
