Cam Collins a multimedia artist from Chicago, IL, USA. He revels in whimsical detail and likes to illustrate chaotic situations that endorse intricacy. He majored in Printmaking and Printmedia from RISD (BFA 2021) and SAIC (MFA 2024), and used his experience to not only get into self-publishing, but also create a video game series about the art world titled \u201cCopper Odyssey\u201d, a small part of the world Collins has created.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is a recipient of the 3Arts Bodies of Work grant and continues to be part of its community within Chicago in working to create artwork that speaks to accessibility and disability via illustrating stories within unconventional shapes. These stories are part of a larger narrative and world titled \u201cWay of the Canvas\u201d, a world where art is intertwined with the very state of living.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While at Studio Kura, Cam Collins is creating a series of shaped stories that contain scenery of Itoshima but with the addition of a character named Redman sprawled throughout its scenery. Cam is illustrating on long scrolls of Canvas that will be on display during the final show at the end of November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
