Camille Viviani is an artist whose practice centers on painting. Having lived in Belgium, Italy, California, and Germany, she draws inspiration from the everyday details of the places she has called home. Now that she’s in rural Japan, she is interested in how a slower pace of life might influence her work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a background in mathematics rather than formal art training, she approaches painting intuitively, allowing mistakes and accidents to shape the direction of each piece. She works primarily with acrylic, building her paintings in layers and embracing uncertainty in the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her work often explores imagery that feels ambiguous, dreamlike, or emotionally charged.
