We are happy to announce Reinterpreting Tradition \u4f1d\u7d71\u306e\u518d\u89e3\u91c8<\/strong>, an exhibition by Ruby Silvious, as a result of her activity during her stay at Studio Kura.<\/p>\n Ruby Silvious<\/strong> is a visual artist and graphic designer based in New York. For the past three years, she has been experimenting with found objects and salvaged materials, and most recently, painting on used, emptied-out tea bags functioning as small canvases. Here are some words from the artist herself.<\/p>\n Reinterpreting Tradition is a personal depiction of Japanese ethos using two key cultural elements: tea and the kimono. \nLast year, her visual journal titled, 363 Days of Tea, went viral and continues to be featured in blogs and magazines across Europe, Asia and Africa.
