We are pleased to announce an exhibition am\u00e9nager l\u2019al\u00e9a – to manage randomness<\/strong> by Marion Paquette on July 22 (Sat) and 23 (Sun), as a result of her activity during her stay at Studio Kura.<\/p>\n

Marion Paquette<\/a> is a multidisciplinary artist based in Montreal. She completed her bachelor in Visual and Mediatic Arts at Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al in 2015. She also intends to begin a Major in Fibres and Material Practices at Concordia University in Montr\u00e9al this next September. Her work has been shown in severals places in Montreal (Canada) and Nantes (France).

Here are some words from the artist herself.<\/p>\n

My artistic interventions mainly emerge from intimate contents of various personal spheres. The topic of the intimacy, declined throughout the daily life, had led me to develop tangible forms of a Self in relation to its environment. Thus, my projects are generally performative actions and installations that amalgamating textile, drawings, writings and photography.<\/p>\n

My framework of artistic intervention settles within the paradoxical aspect of the presence of intimacy in the public sphere and its impact on the latter. Working from the in-between situation, I am interested in the effect of the junction bringing together concepts presenting a certain polarity. Depending on the projects, antinomic crosses are visible between comfort \/ discomfort – intimacy \/ extimacy – personal \/ interpersonal – interior \/ exterior – objectivity \/ subjectivity – visible \/ invisible – awakening \/ sleeping – animate \/ inanimate – private \/ public.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
