<\/a>Hello, my name is Erica. I am an Australian based artist who explores cultural media passed down through generations and matrilineal knowledge. I am a multidisciplinary artist spanning drawing, painting, printmaking and installation. I explore how appropriation and mediation allow contemporary artists to engage with the past, question cultural traditions, and investigate how images hold meaning in today’s media-saturated world. These processes blur the lines between original and copy, personal and cultural assumptions, and high and low art and historical and contemporary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
