Maria SecioとIgor Moritzは、英国のボーンマスで出会い、お互いの芸術表現に多々刺激されることに気づき、アーティスト・デュオ「MORTIZ.SÉCIO」を結成しました。
ポルトガルのリスボン出身のMaria Sécio マリア・セシオ(1994年生まれ)は、ボーンマス芸術大学で映画学と写真学の学士号を取得。これまで、ボーンマスにて2つのグループ展に参加しました。
彼女の写真は、日記を書く人(ダイアリスト diarist)から、彼女の主題と周辺環境を描写した絵画的でロマンチックな探求へと展開しています。
ポーランドのルブリン出身のIgor Moritz イゴール・モリッツ (1996年生まれ)は、ある空間を自身の幼少期の見覚えある空間の雰囲気に変形させることに興味を持つ独学の画家です。
ポーランドと英国の両方で展覧会を行い、最近では、Beers London主催の「Contemporary Visions 8」のファイナリストとなり、またロンドンでの展示に出展が決まりました。
Sécio and Moritz are going to be working as a duo for the first time. Their aim is to explore a visual relationship through the use of different mediums. In order to give a broader, multi-dimensional insight into their personal world, they will be looking at one another, as both the observer and the person being observed.
