Izaro Ieregi イザロ・イエレギ (アルゴルタ出身、1987年生まれ)は、映像や写真、インスタレーションを制作するアーティストでビルバオの芸術文化施設OKELA spaceの創設パートナーです。
バスク大学(the UPV-EHU)の美術科を2010年卒業、2017年にthe Tower House of Ariz(バウサリ、スペイン)や C.C. San Martin(ブエノスアイリス)、the Chinese European Art Centre(アモイ、中国)にて個展を開催しました。
She has also presented her work in the following spaces: Guggenheim Bilbao Museum (2017), NY Space, Manchester (2016), Getxoarte, Getxo (2016), Fundación Bilbaoarte (2016) and at the Complutense University of Madrid (2015).
I start with a work method that goes through a framework of violence with the idea of transfiguring it by recording a performance activity. By using activities registered in archives and making use of a score and devices that enable us to contort our body and distort our voice. Recording a new event. An exercise of form. Performative repetition.
