He was previously an artist in residence at The Technical Museum of East Iceland and at the Post Image Cluster at the Milieux Institute of Arts and Culture in Montreal, Canada.

During their residency at Studio Kura, Jessica and Zuhaitz will be researching the representation of whales in Japanese art, and by experimenting with photographic printmaking techniques, create works that speak to the relationship between people and whales.
