We are pleased to announce an exhibition “Mundo flotante” by Carolina Mercado Vargas on March 21(Sat.) & 22(Sun.), as a result of her activity during her stay at Studio Kura.
Carolina Mercado Vargas is an artist based in Puerto Rico, working primarily with photography, film and audio. she completed her degree in visual art in 2017 and has had her work showcase in her hometown of San Juan.
Her work is based around every day life documenting things around her focusing on time, contrast of colors, the small details of such and building a narrative that tries to see everyday things in a different way.
Mundo flotante is a study of textures and designs and how these can be transformed using images of my surroundings in Itoshima such as it mountains and sea.
