Studio Kuraでは、米国出身のアーティストLiz Howeによる滞在制作発表展 “Constructing Landscape” を開催します！ Lizが1ヶ月の滞在期間中に制作した作品を展示します。入場料は無料です。
開催日時は7月27日（土）と28日（日）の11:00から17:00まで（27日（土）14:30よりアーティストトークを行います）。ぜひこの機会にお越しください。以下、アーティストからのメッセージです。
Studio Kuraで制作された作品は、周辺の風景と神社の抽象的表現の探索をテーマにしています。糸島で見つけた素材を使用し、形、フォーム、色を実験して、農村の風景、建築物、および神社の象徴性を表現しました。
精神的な静けさと自然の要素を融合させ、広い形状と小さな詳細が畏敬の念を喚起し、神道の信仰における人間と自然の調和の共存を反映しています。象徴的なモチーフや色を通じて、地上の領域における神聖な存在を考察することを目指しています。
Studio Kura will host an exhibition by American artist Liz Howe, titled “Constructing Landscape”! The exhibition will showcase works created by Liz during her one-month residency. Admission is free. The exhibition will be open on July 27th (Saturday) and 28th (Sunday) from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. An artist talk will be held on the 27th (Saturday) at 2:30 PM. Please take this opportunity to visit.

The work created at Studio Kura has been an exploration of the surrounding landscape combined with abstractions of Shinto shrines. Using materials found here in Itoshima I experimented with shapes, forms, and color to represent the rural landscape, architectural structures, and symbolism of Shino shrines.
Blending spiritual tranquility with natural elements. Its broad shapes and small details evoke reverence, mirroring the harmonious coexistence of humans and nature in Shinto beliefs. Through symbolic motifs and colors, I aim to invite contemplation of divine presence within the earthly realm.
