Danielle Rochecouste （ダニエル・ロシュクースト）@danielle_rochecouste は、オーストラリア・ブリスベンを拠点に活動するビジュアルアーティストです。30年以上にわたり制作を続ける彼女の表現主義的な作品は、身のまわりの観察と、線や痕跡を残す行為（マークメイキング）、そして多様な支持体への愛着から着想を得ています。
制作スタイルは、ドローイングやペインティングのほか、版画やコラージュなどメディウムを自在に行き来し、刺激に応じて選択します。パターン・線・色彩を探究しながら空間を構築し、環境に対する自身の反応をさまざまなマークメイキングで表現することを楽しんでいます。
近年はスケッチブックでの観察を起点に、別のメディウムへと展開させる試みを続けています。Studio Kura滞在中も、複数の技法を用いて糸島での体験を解釈しつつ、自身の探究心と創作への情熱をいっそう深めていく予定です。
Danielle Rochecouste (@danielle_rochecouste) is a visual artist from Brisbane, Australia.
A practising artist for more than 30 years, her expressionist-influenced work is sparked by observation of her surroundings as well as a love of mark making and different surfaces.
Her practice moves between drawing and painting, as well as printmaking and collage, depending on the stimulus. She enjoys exploring pattern, line and colour to create spaces, using different mark making processes to reflect her response to the environment
Her recent sketchbook observations serve as a starting point for responses in other mediums. During her time at Studio Kura, she will continue to experiment across a range of mediums to interpret her response to her time in Itoshima as well as deepen her existing practice and passion for creating.
