チリ出身の建築家・アーティスト、フェルナンダ・ウルキサ（@fernandaurquizac）は、テキスタイルアートと刺繍を中心に制作しています。彼女の作品は、取り組むテーマに基づき形態を抽象化しつつ、光と影、切り取り、解釈を主要な手法として活用するのが特徴です。豊かな色彩と質感のパレットを通じて自然や身近なオブジェクトを再解釈し、概念的な意味を帯びた作品として現実の新たな次元を映し出します。
8月には、地域で採取した素材を用い、植物の根のボタニカルリサーチとテキスタイル表現を組み合わせたプロジェクトに取り組む予定です。
Fernanda Urquiza (@fernandaurquizac) is a Chilean architect and artist whose practice focuses on textile art and embroidery. Her work explores morphological abstractions based on the themes she investigates, using light, shadow, cutting, and interpretation as fundamental tools. Through a palette of colors and textures, she reinterprets nature and the objects around her, creating pieces imbued with conceptual meaning that reveal new dimensions of reality.
During the month of August, she will be working on a project that combines botanical exploration of roots with textile practices, using materials sourced from the local region.
