Fawzia Muradali Kane（ファウジア・ムラダリ・ケイン）は、建築家であり詩人です。
トリニダード・トバゴ生まれで、現在はロンドンを拠点に活動しており、マイク・ケインとともにKMK Architectsのディレクターを務めています。
2011年にWaterloo Pressから刊行されたデビュー詩集『Tantie Diablesse』は、ボーカス・リット・フェスト（Bocas Lit Fest）賞の詩部門ロングリストに選ばれました。2014年には、Thamesis Publicationsより、挿絵付きパンフレット形式の長編詩『Houses of the Dead』が出版されています。最新の詩集『Guaracara』は、2025年にCarcanet Pressから刊行されました。
彼女の創作は、都市や「自然」の風景の中に残された人々の生の痕跡や、取るに足らないように見える日常の小さな経験の積み重ねが、たとえその人生が終わった後であっても、いかにしてひとつの大きな全体像を形づくるのかを探求しています。
今回が2回目となるStudio Kuraでのレジデンスでは、思考や記憶が持つはかなさや一瞬の美しさが、どのように物理的な世界に表れているのかを考察する予定です。テキスト、静止画、映像を組み合わせたハイブリッドな表現によるプロジェクト「Itoshima Kishikan」に続き、糸島におけるリミナル（境界的）な風景の質感や細部、そしてそこに生きる人々との関係性を掘り下げていきます。
Fawzia Muradali Kane is an architect and poet. Born in Trinidad and Tobago, she is now based in London, where she is a director of KMK Architects, alongside Mike Kane.
Her debut poetry collection, Tantie Diablesse (Waterloo Press, 2011), was longlisted for the poetry category of the Bocas Lit Fest Prize. In 2014, Thamesis Publications published her long poetic sequence Houses of the Dead as an illustrated pamphlet. Her most recent poetry collection, Guaracara, was published by Carcanet Press in 2025.
Her creative writing explores the traces of human lives embedded in both urban and so-called “natural” landscapes. She is particularly interested in how small, often overlooked details of lived experience accumulate into a greater whole—continuing to resonate even after those lives have passed.
For her second residency at Studio Kura, she intends to examine how the fleeting beauty of thoughts and memories manifests in the physical world. Building on her earlier project Itoshima Kishikan, which combined text with still images and film, she will focus on the textures and details of Itoshima’s liminal landscapes, and their relationship with the people who inhabit them.
