Marta Baroni（マルタ・バローニ）は、イタリア出身のコミック作家・イラストレーターです。
主に子どもやティーン向けの出版社や雑誌と仕事をしています。
明るい色彩、奇妙な生き物、そして予想外の冒険でできた世界を創り出すことを愛し、日常生活や成長物語をテーマに、そこへ魔法や想像的な要素をスパイスとして加えることを得意としています。
今回のStudio Kuraでの滞在中は、九州を題材にしたコミックの旅日記を制作します。
この作品は、イタリアの出版社Hoppípolla から出版される予定です。
九州各地を巡り、不思議な出来事や伝統、伝説を探し、Itoshima（糸島）の地域コミュニティと出会い、インタビューを行いながら、その物語を描いていきます。
Marta Baroni is a comic author and illustrator from Italy.
She mostly works with publishers and magazines for kids and teens.
She loves creating worlds made of bright colors, strange creatures and unexpected adventures. Her favorite topics and the focus of her research are everyday life and coming of age stories, which she spices up with magical and imaginary elements.
During her stay at Studio Kura she will work on a comic travel journal about Kyūshū, that will be published in Italy by Hoppípolla.
She will travel around to discover curiosities, traditions and legends, meet and interview the local community of Itoshima to tell their stories.
