Parapaboom（パラパブーム）は、イラストレーター Vanessa Branchi（ヴァネッサ・ブランキ）の別人格プロジェクトであり、2020年のパンデミック中に、当時の厳しい現実から逃れるために生まれました。
このプロジェクトは、20世紀初頭のイタリアの芸術運動「未来派（Futurism）」からインスピレーションを受け、ヴィンテージな美学が取り入れられています。形や大胆な色使いを通じて、子どもも大人も楽しめる、愉快でカラフルでインクルーシブな世界を創り出すことを目指しています。
この「世界の中の世界」は、人々や動物、モノたちが喜びと楽しさで弾ける、まるでオーケストラのような空間です。そして実は、「Parapaboom（パラパブーム）」という言葉自体が、まさにその喜びの音を意味しているのです！
8月の滞在期間中、彼女は紙やその他の素材を使って、カラフルで大胆な美学で地域の風景やオブジェクトを再現する実験を行います。
Parapaboom is illustrator’s Vanessa Branchi alter ego project, created in 2020 during the global pandemic, as a way to escape the harsh reality of the time.
The project is inspired by the early 20th century Italian art movement of Futurism and infused with a vintage aestethic.
With the use of shapes and bold colours, the project’s aim is that of creating a funny, colourful and inclusive world, that both children and adults can approach and enjoy. This world within a world, is an orchestra of people, animals, objects and things bouncing with joy and delight. That’s in truth what the word “Parapaboom“ means!
During the month of August she will experiment with paper and other materials, recreating objects and the local landscape through her colourful and bold aesthetic.
