Hannah Wald（ハンナ・ウォルド）は、主にドローイングと絵画を中心に活動する新進気鋭のアーティストです。
2025年にブリガムヤング大学で美術学士号を取得し、現在はソルトレイクシティ近郊を拠点に制作しています。
一つひとつの作品は小さな円から始まり、この単純な形を繰り返し拡張していくことで、作品に質感と存在感を与えます。
それぞれの円の配置は次の円に影響を与え、最終的には一見些細な選択の積み重ねが作品全体を形づくる「地図」となります。
スタジオクラでの滞在中、ハンナはこのシリーズの制作をさらに進めるとともに、糸島の穏やかな風景や日常の暮らしを体感し、地域を構成する小さな要素や細部に目を向けながら、全体を形づくるものを見つめていく予定です。
Hannah Wald is an emerging artist working primarily in drawing and painting. She received a bachelors in art from Brigham Young University in 2025 and works out of the Salt Lake City area. Her current artworks are exercises in patience and tenacity. She begins each piece with a small circle, and by repeating and expanding upon this one simple shape, gives her work texture and substance. Each circle’s placement influences the next one’s, creating a map of seemingly insignificant choices that ultimately define the work as a whole.
During her time at Studio Kura, Hannah plans to continue making progress on this body of work while taking in the peaceful scenery and everyday life of Itoshima, likewise noticing the small details that make up the whole of the area.
