Limo（リモ）は、オランダ南部・サウスリンブルフの田園地域に暮らすアーティスト兼クラフターです。彼女の実践は、儀式的で歴史的背景に根ざしたテキスタイルクラフトを中心に展開しています。主な素材はシルク。受け継がれてきた布や素材を集め、自然染色やパッチワークを行うことが、作品づくりの基盤となっています。
こうして生まれた布は、単体の作品として、または衣装やインテリアへと変容します。彼女の制作はフォークアートや土着の伝統に根ざし、「布そのものが、作り手の手によってどのように変容を促す存在となり得るのか」という探究に支えられています。
Limo is an artist and craftsperson living in rural South Limburg in Holland. Her practice revolves around a ritualistic and historically informed textile craft. Silk is her dominant medium. Gathering passed down materials, natural dyeing, and patchworking form the base of her work. These textiles are then transformed into stand-alone pieces, costumes, or interiors. Her work is grounded in folk art and vernacular traditions, exploring how textiles themselves can kindle transformation in the hands of the craftsperson.
