Sorcha 常盤 (Tokiwa) Gibson is an interdisciplinary artist, scenographer, and researcher, with Japanese and British roots. Her training in set and costume design has allowed her to work across mediums, exploring the possibilities of large-scale devised and immersive experiences, the tangibility of designed materials, and how audiences engage with/in these tactile components and environments. Sorcha has also had the opportunity to collaboratively devise performances which have premiered in Czechia, Norway, France, Germany, and Canada. She currently lives and works in Tiohtià:ke/Montréal, Québec.
ソーチャ・トキワ・ギブソンは、日本と英国のルーツを持つ学際的アーティスト、舞台美術家、研究者である。舞台美術と衣装デザインの訓練を活かし、様々な媒体を横断して活動。大規模な即興的・没入型体験の可能性、デザインされた素材の物質性、観客がこうした触覚的要素や環境とどう関わるかを探求している。また、チェコ、ノルウェー、フランス、ドイツ、カナダで初演された共同創作パフォーマンスの制作にも携わってきた。現在はケベック州ティオティアケ／モントリオールに在住し活動中。
