Studio Kuraでは、米国出身のアーティストChristopher Kanyusikによる滞在制作発表展 “the resurfacing of a sunken stone” を開催します！Christopherが1ヶ月の滞在期間中に制作した作品を展示します。入場料は無料です。
開催日時は7月27日（土）と28日（日）の11:00から17:00まで（27日（土）14:30よりアーティストトークを行います）。ぜひこの機会にお越しください。以下、アーティストからのメッセージです。
「沈んだ石の再浮上」は、日本を旅している間に出会った物やテーマを含む一連の鋳造彫刻です。
この国の自然の美しさや深い歴史、人々、そしてその映像に心を打たれました。
これらの作品は、それぞれに対する私の真摯な感謝の気持ちを表しています。
Studio Kura is pleased to announce the exhibition “the resurfacing of a sunken stone” by American artist Christopher Kanyusik! The exhibition will showcase the works Christopher created during his one-month residency. Admission is free.
The exhibition will be held on Saturday, July 27, and Sunday, July 28, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with an artist talk on the 27th at 2:30 PM. We look forward to seeing you there. Below is a message from the artist.
“the resurfacing of a sunken stone” is a series of cast sculptures containing objects and
themes I have encountered during my travels in Japan.
I am struck by the natural beauty and the deep history of this country, its people, and
imagery.
These pieces represent my sincere appreciation of each.
