Tzu Li Hsu（スー・リー・シュウ）は、台北出身のテキスタイルアーティスト兼ニットウェアデザイナーです。
これまでTzuは、身にまとう作品から出発し、より広い視点でテキスタイルを探求するようになりました。彼女の制作は、感情や記憶、そして内なる風景をテーマにしたテキスタイル作品を中心に展開しています。
個人的な体験や内省から着想を得て、色彩と質感を手がかりに、“自分の代わりに語ってくれる”ような作品を生み出しています。
Studio Kuraでの滞在中、Tzuは地域の環境や文化に深く身を置き、人と場所のあいだにある物語やつながりを織り込んだ新たなテキスタイル表現に挑戦する予定です。
Tzu Li Hsu is a textile artist and knitwear designer from Taipei. Over the years, Tzu has evolved from a focus on wearables to exploring textiles in various ways. Tzu’s practice centers around textile-based work that explores emotion, memory, and inner landscapes. Drawing from her personal narratives and reflections, she works primarily with colors and textures to create pieces that speak for her.
During her residency at Studio Kura, Tzu plans to immerse herself in the local contexts, and experiment with weavings that explore the stories and connections between people and the place.
