A multi-disciplinary artist, her work is centered around painting, often combined with graphic design, illustrations, fashion and other mediums.
Her artistic practice explores the feeling of nostalgia, the connection between adulthood and childhood and how they intertwine in today’s world.
Through her inspirations, from pop culture to her own memories, she questions the role of nostalgia in our lives, with the latter resurfacing more intensely in times of conflict and chaos. The need to go back to childhood through comfort and memory becomes more urgent, surrounding ourselves with comforting objects and adopting childlike behavior.
A falsely innocent environment is created with a duality: the responsibility of being an adult against the innocence of childhood.
The themes that she explores are about temporality, acceptance, troubled childhoods and the celebration of children’s creativity as well as the fear of growing farther and farther away from our inner child.
