以下アーティストからのメッセージです。
このプロジェクトは、とてもシンプルなアイデアから始まりました。
ドイツで、まるで何かが起こるのを待っている白紙のキャンバスのように、ほとんど未完成のままに感じられる衣服を縫うことです。私はそれらの作品を日本へ持ってきて、出会った場所や人々、そして技法によって形づくられていくままに委ねました。
本作は「うつろい」という考えを映し出しています。
静かで、避けることのできない変化。
このコレクションは、完璧なものをつくることを目的としているのではなく、変化を受け入れ、その流れに身を任せることについての作品です。
その意味で、衣服の変容は、日本で過ごした時間の中での私自身の変容をも映し出しています。
This project began with a simple idea: to sew garments in Germany that feel almost unfinished, like blank canvases waiting for something to happen. I brought these pieces with me to Japan and allowed them to be shaped by the place, people and techniques I encountered.
This work reflects the idea of “Utsuroi”.
A quiet, inevitable change.
The collection is not about creating something perfect, but about allowing change and accepting it. In that sense the garments transformation mirrors my own transformation during this time in Japan.
