Carmen Soler is a spanish artist and illustrator. She is specialized in children illustration, where she works with traditional techniques such as engraving, as well as digital techniques, at the same time she is still interested in artistic installations.
She has illustrated children books such as El Pingüino Pepito, and collaborated with magazines like M21 Madrid or the book editorial PostalKids, on the charitable project for the breast cancer research, En tu Seno. She also do workshops ar educational centres with different drawing techniques.
She has always been interested in mythological creatures and what they show sociologically, so that is what she is hoping to work in during her stay in Studio Kura. She want to explore the mythology and stories, and their connections with the roots and history of the area, creating as well an exchange with Spanish stories .
